Paul Ryan says rape is just another 'method of conception'

EDITORIAL: During an interview with a local Tennessee/Virginia CBS Affiliate, Paul Ryan told Josh Smith of WJHL that rape is just another ‘method of conception’ . If you pay special attention to the end of the quote below, I think you will agree that he is going a step further and implying that he does not support abortion, not only for victims of rape and incest, but also as a lifesaving measure for mothers.

“I’m very proud of my pro-life record, and I’ve always adopted the idea that—the position that—the method of conception doesn’t change the definition of life. But let’s remember; I’m joining the Romney-Ryan ticket. And the President makes policy. And the President—in this case—the future President Mitt Romney, has exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother, which is a vast improvement of where we are right now”.

Ever since Rep. Akins’ gaffe on “legitimate rape” Paul Ryan has been trying to steer attention from his own, equally extremist viewpoints on the matter, but pointing out that Romney’s viewpoint as the presidential candidate is much more moderate. It seems to me though that the more he tries to hide behind Romney’s opinion the more rigid and ultimately more inhumane his own well documented viewpoint seems. Judge for yourself.
