4 Republicans admit Romney welfare ads are a lie

Republicans admit welfare ad a lieSeveral fact-check organizations and websites, such as the New York Times to PolitiFact, have refuted Romney’s claims that Obama removed the work requirement from the welfare law and will cut Medicare benefits by $216 billion with the Washington Post giving Romney’s ad “four Pinocchios,” a measure Romney pollster Neil Newhouse dismissed:

“Fact checkers come to this with their own sets of thoughts and beliefs, and we’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact checkers.”

Even within the GOP, there are those who have admitted to the false nature of these ads as noted in the 4 videos below. [You can see some of the ads here]

Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough on his MSNBC show Morning Joe

Herman Cain on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Newt Gingrich on Anderson Cooper 360

Conservative Kansas Governor Sam Brownback on MSNBC’s Jansing and Company
