Lilly Ledbetter, women’s equality leader and namesake of the ‘Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act’, spoke at the 2012 Democratic National Convention about her experience fighting for equal pay, her eventual defeat in court, and the passage of her namesake act, which was the first bill signed into law by President Obama.
