The Cost of the ElectionNow that the election is over we can start looking at the price tag and what exactly donors were able to purchase with their hard earned millions and billions.

So………. what happened exactly. Let me see:

  1. Barack Obama is still President of the United States of America;
  2. Democrats still control the Senate, although they picked up a couple more seats (more or less);
  3. Republicans still control the House picking up a slight few seats (maybe 2-3, we will see when final numbers are tabulated);
  4. Of the 11 governor races only one resulted in a change of party.

Hmmmmmmmm, so what exactly was accomplished???

Inquiring minds want to know.

  1. Jeffery Sargent says:

    Well, depending on which side you were on, the money helped prevent all the “status quo” things mentioned, from changing drastically. It stood as a bulwark against (hopefully) a last gasp by the forces trying to cling to the world where “white male christian” was the only real acceptable citizen. Think I’m being extreme? Look at the laments from Limbaugh and O’Reily.
