Fox News lies and says Obama to Change Constitution
Fox News falsely accuses Obama of wanting to change the Constitution with host Steve Doocy misrepresented Pres. Obama’s proposal to avoid the chance of a federal government default on its financial obligations.
Doocey interviewed Republican Senator John Thune on the December 7 edition of Fox and Friends and stated that he thought a fight between Pres. Obama and congressional Republicans would be “good news for the Republicans” because they would ”obviously have the upper hand on that.”
Thune responded that “what we’re told is the president is even thinking about what he might be able to do to raise the debt ceiling without going through Congress, which would be a huge mistake and ought to be unconstitutional.”
Doocy replied: “He just wants to change the Constitution.”
In fact, Obama has proposed legislation that would amend current statutes that put a limit on federal government’s borrowing rather than to amend the Constitution or to change the way in which it is interpreted. Indeed, the Obama administration has never proposed any change to the Constitution and has actually specifically rejected a novel interpretation of the Constitution that would allow the president to ignore the debt ceiling in order to avoid government default.
Oh you little Fox news, you try so hard dont you, your like a little kid trying to gain approval from your dad, do what you can to get attention even if you have to cry wolf right? Like the majority even watch Fox News, 3if we did I dont think Obama would have won, but again little Fox News would say that Obama didnt win because its viewers didnt vote for him and all that counts in this nation are Fox News viewers, right, little boy Fox? No wonder Fox isn’t allowed to broadcast in other nations, they dont let lies on TV!
