Florida: What It’s Like To Wake Up From A Tea Party Binge (VIDEO)

When Rick Scott took over as Governor of Florida in 2010, he was a Tea Party darling. He began to implement austerity on a huge scale, while at the same time, helping his wife’s medical company grow via changes to the state’s Medicare laws and mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients (which his wife’s company happened to do). You know, like all good “big government hating” capitalists do when they take over positions like this – that is, make themselves wealthier at the expense of the people.

Fast forward to 2012, and the state of the state is . . . terrifying.
