WTWO News reported that a group of Christian students, parents and other members of the community in Sullivan, Indian,a are looking to ban LGBT people from the prom at Sullivan High School.
Special education teacher, Diana Medley, agrees with the idea and doesn’t believe anyone is born gay and she finds homosexuality offensive. She goes so far as to say that gay people have “no purpose in life.”
Medley: “I don’t believe they were born that way. I think life circumstances made them choose that. I think God made everybody equal… I have kids come to me because of their sexual preference. And they know I don’t agree with it, but care about you. And the same thing for special needs. God puts those people in our life for special reasons.”
Student, Bonnie McCammon said, “We believe what the Bible says; it says that it’s wrong and we love the homosexuals, but we do not condone what they’re doing.”
Despite the fact it has been proven that homosexuality occurs in more than 1,000 species and is not only widespread but part of a “necessary biological adaptation for the survival of the species,” many Christians refuse to accept this fact as a reality and choose to judge and condemn the homosexual population.
Doesn’t the bible state man can not judge his fellow man. That only the lord can judge man. Or as Jesus said he who has not sinned cast the first stone. Here I thought Christians was suppose to love and forgive everyone and not act like Nazis?
