Absolutely wonderful. They met the year I was born. I have been happily partnered for 31 years. We have ALWAYS considered ourselves married. It is time, EVEN in Indiana and the rest of the US to recognise it as so.
This makes me very happy.
When my partner and I married in Canada in 2011, our lives didn’t change – we came home and settled down the same life we had before we were married. But something was different – our families and friends had witnessed our declaration of commitment to each other, and that event now became a part of the memories of everyone who was there. Our relationship was not understood to be a roommate-ship, or a friendship, or a confirmed bachelor-ship. Our relationship is a covenant, and our relationship became a part of the lives of the people who mean the world to us, and we have their support.
“Our relationship was NOW understood” – not NOT!
Well, crap – I was right the first time! Anyone for coffee?
