Why Disney Movies Can Screw Up Your Kids (VIDEO)

Beauty and the BeastOf course, with the almost daily assaults from all kinds of media on our kids, we need to be able to talk to them about these ideas rather than outright “banning” them. But the concepts here are consciously written into Disney movies and those made by others as well. This even extends to “reality” shows and sitcoms directed at kids.

Holy crap! What a load of bunk. Characters like Gaston are NEGATIVE illustrations about what is valued in society. Mulan is the perfect example of how those men where completely wrong about those stereotypes. SHE saves the day again and again NOT by being manly, but by being a clever conceptual thinker. This piece is a bunch of pseudo psych drivel, by someone who cannot have any faith that children can tell the difference between Right (Belle, Mulan) and Wrong (Gaston, manliness being the only virtue).

Except Pocahontas that one just stunk.
