Senator John McCain defended President Obama on ABC’s This Week Sunday.
The Senator cautioned his Republican colleagues to calm down regarding talk of impeaching the President over the attack in Benghazi. In response to a clip of Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) using the “I word,” McCain told host Martha Raddatz:
“With all due respect, I think this is a serious issue. I will even give the president the benefit of the doubt on some of these things. We need a select committee.”
McCain went on to discuss the ongoing crisis in Syria as well. You can watch the interview below:
