Controversy Boils Over On Facebook Over Texas Abortion Bill

As many of you know, I grew up in Texas and many of my closest friends still reside there. I thought it might be interesting to post a conversation there on a friend’s profile to help give you a sense of some of the conversation coming out of Texas today in the wake of last night’s dramatic events on the Texas State Senate floor.

POSTER: Lets see how many friend on Facebook I can lose today.. I normally leave politics out of my post… I’m tired of reading all the Pro and Anti bullshit…. Have your opinion that’s great… But you don’t have to cram it down everyone’s throat…

And who are all these men/women that are Anti-abortion?? ( I’m neither pro or anti by the way).. But food for thought.. if your daughter was raped and happened to get pregnant you would seriously want her to carry the product of RAPE around for 9 months??? Maybe incest lets just say oh, at the age of 10, yeah that would be a wonderful life for the innocent child to carry the product of such evil a crime and don’t forget to add some major Physiological problems and lots of therapy to the list for her!!! Hmm Or your wife be a victim and carry the product of rape and raise it as your own…

And who knows maybe in each scenario I have used they choose to keep the product of the heinous crimes committed against them.. That’s the choice they should have either way…

Don’t think you can honestly have an opinion until you have lived through it!!!!!!

PERSON 1: Well that was my argument in my post…I don’t care if people don’t like it either!!

PERSON 2: You wouldn’t like my opinion so I wont give it. But if you post yours you cant get mad at someone for doing the same. just sayin’.

POSTER: I’m neutral… I’m not cramming anything pro or anti…and I only gave scenarios not my opinion…

PERSON 2: I understand… There is a woman who was a rape baby that is now a speaker of some sort, I heard her a couple times, I use to have a different opinion till I heard her speech.

PERSON 2: But I don’t tend to talk about abortion unless its brought up, but politics, yeah I go on my rants at times…

PERSON 3: This is the problem with politicians. They think that they speak for the people when they only speak to get votes. Then we the people are suppose to live by the rules and there standards. I thought we all had the right to choose… As For the lady Brandon Davis that you are talking about that was a product of Rape I’m glad her mother had the right to choose what was best for her situation.. pretty soon we will have no rights… Can’t say I’m proud to be American anymore… We will soon be completely under the thumbs of the government…

PERSON 2: Ok this whole “right” of a woman to choose… What about the child’s right to live?

POSTER: What about the woman’s right not to be raped by the criminals on the streets that they keep letting out to repeat offend…. The woman didn’t choose to become pregnant by a rapist… Just as the baby didn’t choose to become a product of rape…

PERSON 2: And yes if God forbid my wife was raped we would raise the child with love because that is Gods child

PERSON 4: Just out of curiosity, god requested that your wife was hypothetically raped? Apparently he’s the same one that requested 9/11 as well?

PERSON 4: supposedly everyone on the planet worships the same god, or am I mistaken? the only thing that changes is the views a person has on how they should worship their god. All books written on earth on how they should worship are written by men, or men touched by god supposedly. And no im not atheist, I like to believe in god, just not men’s translation on how we should live our lives.

The terrorists believe their god wants them to kill the infidels, which is their beliefs, but you really want to believe that god would wish that (hypothetically) on your wife?

And The Bible is Gods word written down by man. God in those days spoke to men in many different ways. Directly (moses through the burning bush), through dreams, and prophets.
