A Richmond, Virginia, school board member is facing ouster after sending racist and offensive e-mails about First Lady Michelle Obama.
NBC12 Virginia is reporting that the NAACP, other school board members and members of the community are calling for the resignation of Isle of Wight school board member Herb Degroft who sent the emails along with Supervisor Byron Bailey for forwarding them on to others.
One e-mail contained “a picture with bare-breasted, African female warriors with the caption ‘Michelle Obama’s high school reunion.’ Another e-mail claimed Mrs. Obama was paid $50 to model in National Geographic.”
