Listen To Guitar Man’s Hilarious Trump Supporter Anthem Called ‘I Want My Country Back’ (VIDEO)

Originally named “A New Tea Party Anthem (I Want My Country Back),” this hilarious song has been renamed by David Ippolito with the arrival of Trump in 2017.

What do you get when you cross regressive Tea Party politics and the achingly woeful “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables? A new anthem for the party of Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin, of course.

This anthem comes to us courtesy of New York City singer-songwriter David Ippolito, who is otherwise known as That Guitar Man from Central Park.

Ippolito’s song, titled “I Want My Country Back,” takes a satirical stab at the Tea Party’s insistence that America should return to the days “when hardly anyone was gay” and the poor had no access to insurance.

Ippolito posted this anthem to YouTube in December 2013, but updated the title and featured image with the arrival of Trump in 2017.

Sadly, the lyrics are just as relevant today – possibly more so – than when he first uttered them back in 2013.
