Tinney Davidson waves at students walking by every day. It fills her with joy to see their smiles. However, she never expected THEM to give her such a surprise.
Tinney, 84, and her husband moved into her home back in 2007 and every day she and her husband would wave at children as they walked past their house on their way to and from school every day.
Her husband passed away a few years ago, but Tinney still carries on the tradition.
As reported by WTVR, “I love it,” she says. “And they seem to like it also. So it’s been a fun few years.”
Students at the local school were so touched by her waving to them each day they held an assembly in her honor.
“It makes everyone’s day a little bit brighter,” one student said.

At the assembly, Tinney turned around and waved at all the students. And of course, they waved back.
