In this Flashback Friday clip we see George Carlin being interviewed on MSNBC by Keith Olbermann, who begins the segment stating:
A TV comedian is running for president; a Republican senator is doing stand-up and the far-right is screaming about the outing of a prominent educator – a fictional educator…. For forty years in such times of need I have relied on one man to make sense of this crap. In a moment that man, George Carlin, will join us.
Never at a loss for words, Carlin gives Olbermann his take on Stephen Colbert’s presidential bid, Sen. Arlen Specter’s attempt at stand up comedy, and the outrage from the right over the earth shattering Dumbledore controversy:
“Don’t these professional Christians have something to do during the day? I mean, isn’t there – didn’t Jesus leave instructions on how to plan your day with something constructive?”
