Key & Peele are back in a new Funny or Die comedy sketch entitled “Cop vs Black Guy,” starring Colton Dunn and Phil Augusta Jackson.
The video begins with a black man happily eating an ice cream cone on the front stoop of the house and suddenly he is accosted by a police officer, demanding he explain what he is doing on “this premises.” The black man responds that he lives there, that it is his “premises.”
Things spiral out of control almost immediately as the cop pulls his handgun on the black man while he radios-in to dispatch that there is a robbery in progress. The black guy tries to explain to increasingly hostile cop that he is merely eating an ice cream cone, but the cop begins morphing into increasingly threatening characters beginning with him becoming a shotgun wielding member of SWAT.
The video ends with the cop, who has now morphed into a Star Wars Storm Trooper, shooting the hand of another black man who walks out of the front door of the house with – yep, you guessed it – an ice cream cone.
The video ends with the message “Just calm the fuck down,” followed by a screen crediting the PSA to the “Unarmed Black Men of America. “
