Whoopi Goldberg Has ‘A Lot Of Questions’ For Woman Accusing Bill Cosby Of Rape (VIDEO)

ww16The hosts of The View had a lot to say on Monday morning about the rape allegations mounting against Bill Cosby. Earlier this week, Cosby refused to address the accusations in a radio interview with NPR.

Outspoken host Whoopi Goldberg isn’t convinced Cosby is guilty and invited his most vocal accuser, Barbara Bowman, to be a guest on The View and answer some of her questions.

Goldberg said, “Quite honestly, you know, look, I’m sorry, having been on both sides of this where people allege that you do something, it doesn’t matter now. The cat is out of the bag, people have it in their heads. I have a lot of questions for the lady. Maybe she’ll come on.”

A clip of Bowman was played where she said that no one believed her when she came forward years ago. Goldberg argued that the hospital and the police might have wondered why she never had a rape kit performed. View host Rosie O’Donnell chimed in with the fact that Cosby has settled out of court with women who made similar allegations and Goldberg asserted that “settlements don’t necessarily mean you’re guilty.”

Goldberg then said “I hope that there is justice for this lady. I hope somebody gets to the bottom of this, but I’m going to reserve my judgment because I have a lot of questions, as I said. It’s crazy, but I have a lot of questions, because I know we all have friends who have gone through this.” Goldberg was referring to other celebrities who have been falsely accused and she described those situations as “awkward.”

Nicolle Wallace responded.  “It’s more than awkward, it’s a tragedy! Either thirteen women were raped by someone too powerful to face the criminal justice system or an innocent man is being falsely accused.”

O’Donnell agreed with Goldberg’s assessment. “When you are a famous person and friends with a famous person who gets accused, it is an awkward position to be in, especially if you’re on a show talking about current events.”

Goldberg says she has been accused of crimes she says she did not commit, and she  added “One of the things that getting accused of when you’re famous does is it opens the door for everybody to come out and say, ‘me too, boss.’”
