Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker indicated he would be willing to sign a Wisconsin bill that would outlaw abortions after 20 weeks – even if the pregnancies were a result of rape and/or incest.
Walker told reporters, “I mean, I think for most people who are concerned about that, it’s in the initial months where they’re most concerned about it. In this case, again, it’s an unborn life, it’s an unborn child and that’s why we feel strongly about it.”
Walker is apparently unaware of the latest Gallup poll which noted abortion is becoming a bigger issue for voters in 2016 – particularly for pro-choice voters. He is clearly pandering to his far right base but that isn’t going to help him in the general election if he’s the GOP pick.
