Since the anti-abortion hit group, Center for Medical Progress, doctored up and released a series of sting videos in an effort to paint Planned Parenthood as some kind of butcher factory that sells baby parts for money, extremists all over the country have found the validation they’re looking for to terrorize and burn down women’s healthcare clinics while screaming about “pro-life.”
Another Planned Parenthood clinic has been targeted in Thousand Oaks, California. Authorities have determined the terrorist attack was arson.

“Ventura County sheriff’s Capt. John Reilly said someone likely used a rock to shatter a window at the Planned Parenthood facility in the 1200 block of West Hillcrest Drive, then threw gasoline inside the office and ignited it.
The attack comes more than six weeks after the office was vandalized, he said. Details about the vandalism were not immediately available, but Reilly said it was minor. Reilly said no threats were made to the Planned Parenthood office before the fire.
The deceptively edited videos have been discredited, and Planned Parenthood has been cleared in multiple state investigations as well as a federal investigation, but that hasn’t stopped the witch hunt led by House Republicans.
Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards faced a firing squad of Republican mansplainers on Capitol Hill when she testified in defense of the family planning organization on September 29. She was interrupted multiple times and treated like a criminal. Republicans, who were hell-bent on defunding PP, had no real evidence their case was valid, so they exaggerated, outright lied and used biased graphs with false statistics to make their point. The hearing spectacle was so egregious that many “pro-life” activists were embarrassed by the behavior of the antagonistic GOP lawmakers.
Feeding fuel to the already blazing fire, the popular conservative duo, Chicks On The Right boasted about the misogynistic treatment of Richards in a blog post titled Watch Trey Gowdy Manhandle Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards.
This type of incendiary hate-speech only adds to the violence and justification of terrorism – all based on lies and doctored videos.
Congressional Republicans refuse to admit they know these videos are bogus because it doesn’t fit into their maniacal crusade to strip women of affordable and reliable healthcare. They continue the false narrative that Planned Parenthood is an evil institution, and they realize lunatic extremists will follow their lead using domestic terrorism to exterminate existing clinics.
We are witnessing the slow and painful demise of the imploding Republican Party. In reality, the GOP is the entity going down in flames. Their leadership is mocked worldwide, and they don’t have the awareness to recognize they are destroying themselves.
The 2016 election is one of the most important elections we’ll face. Not only do we need to elect a president who will lead this country in a positive, progressive manner, we need to elect a Congress that will undo many of the restrictive laws put in place by Tea Party legislators – laws that remove access to affordable healthcare for impoverished families.
