Ted Cruz Gets Pummeled On Twitter

Ted Cruz gets blasted by Bette Midler in a series of posts on Facebook.

It seems that there is no love lost between the legendary Bette Midler and Republican presidential candidates these days.

Midler took to her Twitter and Facebook pages the last several weeks, pummeling Texas Senator Ted Cruz and billionaire bigot Donald Trump in particular.

Shortly after she trumped Trump with a searing quote from Joseph Heller’s “Catch-22,” Midler set her sights on tea party favorite Cruz.

Her first, while possibly the crudest of her posts, was a favorite:

"Any man who doesn't begin his days on his knees isn't fit to be commander in chief", Cruz!

Her next tweet referenced a classic Monty Python sketch:

She included a couple of tweets mocking Cruz’s Canadian birth and the birther movement surrounding President Obama:

Are people ignoring the fact thatTed Cruz isn’t a natural-born American
because it’s impossible to believe such a jackass came from Canada?

She also mocked his recent Republican debate performance:
