It appears that gay couples are not falling from the sky or otherwise taking over Alabama after same-sex marriage started there last year.
We thought this video from last year is appropriate with all the controversy raging throughout America over gay rights versus so-called “religious freedom laws.”
As you probably know by now, controversy rocked Alabama this week when the federal stay on the ban on gay marriage expired there. Roy Moore, the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, tried to force a show down with the federal courts when he issued a directive to the state’s judges ordering them to defy a federal court order barring the state’s ban on gay marriage.
Moore himself became a target when The Birmingham News, Alabama’s largest newspaper, mocked him by publishing a Readers Poll on Sunday asking “Is Roy Moore a Closeted Homosexual.”
Facebook user Jeremy Todd Addaway stepped into the controversy on Monday presenting his hilarious take on the controversy as gay couples began getting married all over the state.
As AL.com reports: “Gay Marriage is legal in Alabama, but as Facebook user Jeremy Todd Addaway reports, things appear normal in Blount County, where his brush pile has not moved.”
