The Startling Hypocrisy Of ‘Small Government’ ‘Pro-Life’ Conservative Republicans

GOP

Pro-life conservative Republicans raise hypocrisy to new heights.

Conservatives, Republicans… whatever you call yourselves: You say you want small government, yet you want government to create and enact discriminatory legislation against people who are different than you — simply because they’re different than you, and you can’t deal with those differences.

You say you want small government, yet you want government to control the content of women’s reproductive organs, based in part on junk science claiming that fetuses feel pain before the third trimester.

You say you want small government, yet spend more time legislating embryos than protecting children already born who’ve been molested by priests.

You say you want small government, yet you want to force doctors to perform unnecessary transvaginal ultrasounds on pregnant women seeking abortions, which is tantamount to state sanctioned rape.

You say you want small government, yet you want government to deny people in the LGBT community the ability to marry.

You say you want small government, yet you want government mandated inspections of genitalia for people in the transgender community before they use public restrooms or play sports.

You say you want small government and claim you love the Constitution, yet you regularly write and support discriminatory legislation that gets knocked down by federal judges for being unconstitutional.

You say you want small government and are concerned about government spending, yet you voted to hide the cost of repealing Obamacare in the budget.

Some of you argue that President Trump will “make America great again.” But not so long ago, one of your senators called him “a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot” and most of you agreed. Now, however, the same people who decried his horrible statements are jumping on the Trump Train.

It’s also worth noting that Republican presidents have the highest budget deficits. Under President Obama the deficit decreased by $1 trillion  and President Clinton left office with a budget surplus.

Outside of Bullshit Mountain, Republicans might be taken seriously if the cry for small government was consistently backed up with proposed solutions that didn’t require government intervention, or proposed solutions that didn’t violate the United States Constitution.

It’s not human life, patriotism or the love of Jesus that motivates the GOP. Republicans are motivated by racism, misogyny, sexism, and bigotry. The desire isn’t to “make America great again,” it’s to punish anyone who isn’t a white Christian hypocrite.
