No one wants to take your guns. Well, we might have to make an exception for you – NAME CHANGED TO PROTECT THE GUILTY.
We all have a person like this in our lives. You know, the wild and crazy stoner from our teenage years who grew up to be a gun-toting shit-talkin’ ultra-conservative – to the point that we find them scary on far too many occasions.
Many of you already know NAME CHANGED TO PROTECT THE GUILTY from earlier articles I have written. NAME CHANGED embodies the disconnect far too many people have with social media. Somehow they forget that there is a real living, breathing, FEELING human being on the other side of their online rants.
Case in point, a couple of years ago NAME CHANGED told me that he was glad my daughter died – that it was one less liberal in the world for him to have to contend with…. On other occasions, he said the same about my parents.
Without further ado, here is his latest rant – brought to us by the recent tragedy in Orlando, Florida.
This happens every time a lunatic goes nuts with a gun. Facebook explodes into an emotional battle where people really show who they are. They start the name calling, and the unfriendings, and the threats, and they reaffirm what I know about and fear in humanity.
Folks, the world will never change. People will never change, and that is why I think keeping the 2nd Amendment intact is so important.
I’m keeping my weapons, and I will never voluntarily give them up without a fight — in a debate on FB, an argument at the water cooler, or physically at my front door when the SS finally shows up!
What group of people have you ever been around where there was not a bunch of backstabbing and drama going on? No club, no fraternity, no classroom, no church group, no team, no job, nor any organization I have ever been involved in, was free of gossip and nastiness. There is always someone trying to manipulate others for their own benefit. The world HAS not changed and it NEVER will!
Unfortunately, I have learned in this life not to put too much faith in other people for anything. And so, I put my faith in God and (insert gun manufacturer of your choice).
(BTW, Hornady makes some of the best jacketed hollow point bullets that money can buy.)
There are some people in this world that just need killin’. Like the guy in Orlando. I wish somebody in that nightclub would have exercised their right to self defense that night and saved some lives.
In the future, I may carry a gun more often when I go out, and not leave my fate to luck, or in the hands of the cops, or whoever.
Remember, “if someone tries to kill you, you try to kill them first.”
