The hilarious story of how Trump got trumped.
A tea company based in India has sent Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump 6000 bags of tea to help him “purify” his “mind” and to make him smarter.
The Global Post reports that the “unusual gift” equals a “four year supply if drunk four times a day.”
The company behind the consignment, Te-A-Me Teas launched an online campaign, TeaForTrump.com, to encourage Trump to “drink the tea” – “for your sake, for America’s sake, for the world’s sake.”
The website also included a hilarious video detailing the tea company’s hilarious attempt to “Purify” Donald Trump. “It’s an incredible story of how TE-A-ME trumped Donald by sending him 4 years’ supply of Green tea.”
The dramatic video begins with a laughing African-American woman from the U.S. laughing and exclaiming: “You came all the way from India to do what?”
“Donald Trump has got the whole world worried,” a somber Indian narrator continues – “Mexicans, Muslims, Jews, blacks, immigrants, women, Democrats, hell even Republicans. We can’t stop him, but maybe we can change him.”
The video shifts to a female narrator – again from India:
Dear Mr Trump, namaste from India, we are sending you lots and lots of natural green tea. It fights against harmful free radicals. It helps purify mind and body and regain a healthy balance. It has also proven to make people smarter. Please Mr Trump drink the tea. For your sake, for America’s sake, for the world’s sake.
While the cost of the tea consignment was not made public, The Indian Express reports that Sumit Shah, the executive director of Koklata-based Te-A-Me Teas, said that its potential benefits is “immense.”
“We believe that green tea with all its goodness can help Mr Trump and in turn benefit his country and the world at large,” Shah said.
“If he needs more, we’ll be happy to provide. Green tea has been proven to fight against harmful free radicals and cleanse the mind and bodies, helping one regain a healthy balance,” Shah said, adding that drinking the tea could help change Trump for the better.
As BuzzFeed reports, Te-A-Me Teas included a letter with the tea that read:
Congratulations on winning the nomination. It’s no small feat, running for the office of the world’s most powerful man. It’s not just a privilege, but a rare challenge that very few are equipped to take on.
I would like to offer you a little something to help you prepare for the task that lies ahead—four years’ supply of TE-A-ME Green Tea. Green tea is packed with goodness and is proven to help achieve well-being and increased productivity.

Te-A-Me Teas does not do business in the United States, and as The Global Post reports: “The Indian tea company said it wanted to instill responsible leadership among famous personalities across the world and denied the move was a publicity gimmick.”
“We don’t even sell in the US. I guess with Trump it’s just about the timing (of our gesture),” Shah said.
