Alec Baldwin returns as Trump on Saturday Night Live’s cold open to address his big Russian pee-pee party.
As The Hollywood Reporter noted, “Saturday Night Live returned from its winter holiday break on Saturday to poke fun at the recent news surrounding president-elect Donald Trump and the recently released, unverified Russian reports that featured such claims as Trump asking prostitutes to perform ‘golden showers’ and Trump’s first press conference in nearly half a year.”
SNL’s cold open mocked Trump’s Wednesday press conference. When it came time for reporters to ask questions, one reporter asked Alec Baldwin, who was playing Trump, “I’d like to ask about your big Russian pee-pee party.”
“No no, I am not going to talk about the pee-pee. I want to talk about what is really important which is jobs,” Baldwin deflected.
“I’m going to bring back a thick stream of jobs to this country – the biggest, strongest, steadiest stream I’ve ever seen” he continued, running with a stream of puns.”
“This country will be literally showered with jobs. Because I am a major wiz at jobs. This will be a golden opportunity for me as president to make a big splash.”
He went on to ask who was “in” on the plan. “You’re in, you’re in, you’re in,” he remarked.
