Trump Adviser Says Russia Investigation Should Be Kept Secret To ‘Protect The Public’

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway can spin like no other, amirite?

Conway appeared on Fox & Friends on Sunday and expressed all kinds of disappointment that officials in the U.S. intelligence community are leaking information about Russians hacking the 2016 election to help Trump. Not surprisingly, Conway thinks that information should all be kept secret because it will “protect the public.”

When co-host Clayton Morris asked her about the pending meeting between Trump and FBI Director James Comey, Conway did what she does best —  she attacked U.S. intelligence officials for leaking information, saying:

“I’m always disappointed how public and sometimes political some of these figures can seem to be. I’m very concerned, very concerned. People should realize it is the Trump team, only us at this time, that is not divulging what occurred in a classified briefing.”

And with a scolding tone, she added:

“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s called a classified briefing for a reason. You had the vice president of the United States making a comment about it the other day. You have intelligence officials confirming or denying. This classified information, it’s top secret. Why is it top secret? It’s not top secret to keep it from the public, but to protect the public.”

Conway should be concerned. Her madman boss is going after the INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY and it’s not hard to figure out who will win that fight.
