Palm Beach Residents Complain Trump’s Frequent Visits Are Hurting Business & Taxpayers

According to NBC News, residents in West Palm Beach, Florida are complaining that Donald Trump’s weekly visits to Mar-a-Largo are not only expensive for taxpayers; the frequent trips are making their lives miserable and hurting businesses.

Because of extra safety measures taken by the Secret Service, Stellar Aviation Group’s president Jonathan Miller estimates he’s losing $30,000 every weekend and has concerns his business will go under if Trump continues the weekly trips.

A Southern Helicopter spokesperson told NBC, “We’re basically going broke. We were not expecting him to come down every weekend.”

Making matters worse, Trump’s Mar-a-Largo visits have already cost taxpayers $1.7 million in additional security; and the Trump Administration has ignored any and all requests to reimburse the county.

Remember when Donald Trump criticized President Obama for taking vacations, and remember when Trump said “I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done. I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”
