Russians Say Trump’s Tweets Change Nothing

Trump’s new endless stream of contradictory tweets makes it increasingly difficult to understand his administration.

Donnie (Trump) and Vlad (Putin) were hanging out during the G-20 when Vlad suggested to Donnie they work together to create a Cybersecurity Unit together. It’s amazing that Donnie just doesn’t get that Vlad is not his friend.

The RT (Russian Times) interview with Russian Sherpa Svetlana Lukash gave details. The representative for Vladimir Putin said that Putin had suggested the idea to Trump. She stated that it will happen in the future and that it will take time to set up the framework. Svetlana said the presidents discussed the issue for at least 40 minutes.

Svetlana insisted that just because Putin made the suggestion, it doesn’t mean that it will happen tomorrow. According to the Russian official, the key point about these talks was that “the US is ready to consider cooperation in this area.”

When Donald got wind that back in Washington they were less than thrilled with the idea, he took to Twitter and tweeted: “The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn’t mean I think it can happen. It can’t-but a ceasefire can,& did!”  Republican senators, dubbed the plan “close to the dumbest idea.”

Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Trump’s tweets have no effect on the relationship between Putin and Trump. He confirmed that “there really was talk about the possibility of putting together such a [cybersecurity] group,” but added that “only time will tell if it’ll be created or not.”
