Trump can do absolutely nothing to stop the most powerful Atlantic hurricane in history from treating his property exactly the same as everyone else’s.
Trump may claim that climate change is a Chinese hoax, but that won’t stop Hurricane Irma from ripping through his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Irma’s category 5 winds are taking dead aim on South Florida, where Trump can do absolutely nothing to stop the most powerful Atlantic hurricane in history from treating his property exactly the same as everyone else’s. Mar-a-Lago is going to get beat up by wind, water, and whatever toxic waste Florida’s neutered environmental laws leak on it.
If Mar-a-Lago does indeed suffer serious damage in the storm, it will join Trump’s other properties in the Virgin Islands, which have already met their fate from Irma.
The Washington Post reports,
A ferocious Hurricane Irma barreled early Wednesday morning across the Caribbean island of St. Martin, where President Trump owns a lavish waterfront estate… The status of Trump’s 11-bedroom gated compound on Plum Bay… was not immediately known. But officials with the French government, which controls the side of the island where his beachfront property is located, said the territory suffered serious damage.
In addition to Mar-a-Lago, Trump properties in the path of Hurricane Erma include the Trump National Doral golf club, some golf clubs in Jupiter and West Palm Beach, and luxury buildings in Sunny Isles.
So far, the Tweeter-in-Chief hasn’t mentioned his personal losses from Hurricane Irma. Considering his lack of moral standards, one has to wonder if he’ll quietly go running to FEMA for some money to cover his losses and hope there’s no mention of any of his whining in the ‘fake’ news.
