Trump Thoroughly Humiliated Over His ‘Fake News Trophy!’ Tweet

Trump was mercilessly destroyed after posting a tweet about fake news coverage of “your favorite President (me).”

Trump was at it again, having another Twitter Tantrum about fake news coverage treating him unfairly.

This latest assault on the press, and CNN in particular, comes in the wake of massive controversy surrounding a Saturday post by Trump in which he tweeted:

.@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!

CNN was quick to respond, tweeting: “It’s not CNN‘s job to represent the U.S to the world. That’s yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst.”

CNN reported that “Former CIA and National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden criticized President Donald Trump’s attack of CNN over the weekend, saying he could not believe a President was capable of ‘such an outrageous assault’ on a free press or the First Amendment.”

“If this is who we are or who we are becoming, I have wasted 40 years of my life,” Hayden, a retired Air Force Four-Star general who served under the past three administrations, tweeted over the weekend, adding: “Until now it was not possible for me to conceive of an American President capable of such an outrageous assault on truth, a free press or the first amendment.”

Today, Trump was at it again – not only referred to himself as America’s favorite president, but he also excluded Fox News from the running for the prestigious (and imaginary) “FAKE NEWS TROPHY.”

“We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!” a seriously deranged Trump tweeted.

Twitter was quick to respond to Trump’s tweet, with his post receiving more than 51K comments in less than 3 hours.

Many, like Twitter user MarieMarie, expressed gratitude that Trump spends so much time on Twitter instead of actually trying to accomplish any legislative goals.

“Thank you President Trump for spending so much time on Twitter. Keep it up, the less time you spend not passing legislation, the better. YAY!,” she tweeted.

Others, such as PalmerReport, suggested a different kind of contest, tweeting: “We should have a contest to see how fast you can be impeached.”

Others, like Janet Shan, offered a more detailed response, tweeting: “Donald Trump is a delusional, thin-skinned bully who is literally yelling at no-one but himself. He is trying to tear down American democracy as we know it. This is not normal. It’s dangerous and we have to keep the #Resistance going strong. Fox News is akin to Pravda & RT.”
