Texas resident Andy Ternay has a f*ck to give and it’s to Donald Trump. Over the weekend, Ternay was asked to leave a restaurant because he wore a shirt that read, “F*ck Trump — and f*ck you for voting for him.”
Ternay described his experience in a viral Facebook post and said he decided to go out for breakfast on Sunday morning wearing his F*ck trump shirt. He said the manager approached him and asked him to leave because children who were also dining in the restaurant might see his shirt.
The Texas man wrote,“ I expressed deep sympathies and let her know that explaining ‘grab ‘em by the pussy’ and golden showers to my daughter was equally unpleasant.”
Ternay said he got scowls from white men when they saw his shirt but that black and Latino men were giving him nods of approval.
“Everywhere I go with this shirt, white males sneer and people of color smile and give me thumbs up,” Ternay wrote. “I think it is very worthwhile to let people of color know they are not alone – that some whites also see the evil of racism is resurgent – and we will fight with our brothers and sisters of color against it.”
Just as he was leaving the restaurant, he said a police car pulled up,
“I stop the car and ask the officer if she is there over a t-shirt. She affirms this to be true and asks my name which I respectfully decline to give; she starts in on the shirt – whereupon I cite Cohen v. California, 1971, in which the Supreme Court upheld the right to wear a T-shirt saying: F*CK THE DRAFT. She’s like: just leave, okay?”
Funny how all the conservatives and MAGAs scream about free speech — until they don’t like that speech.
Ternay noted five takeaways from his experience and number one was,
“If your kids can’t handle the word “Fuck” they are going to have a really tough time in this world.”
