Twitter Unleashes Its Fury On Dinesh D’Souza In Response To His Despicable Tweets Taunting Parkland School Shooting Survivors

Conservative filmmaker, troll, and convicted felon Dinesh D’Souza enraged Twitter users after he posted a series of tweets mocking Parkland school shooting survivors.

Slate reported on Tuesday that: “A week after students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School were unwittingly thrust into the national spotlight, the Florida legislature voted down the possibility of banning assault weapons in the state like the one used by used by shooter Nikolas Cruz to kill 17 people.”

ABC affiliate News 10 elaborated, reporting that:

With Douglas students in the gallery Tuesday, the Florida House voted down a motion to take up a ban on assault weapons such as the AR-15 used by Nikolas Cruz when he killed 17 people at the school on Valentine’s Day. The final motion vote was 36-71.

Not one to miss an opportunity to gloat, Dinesh D’Souza went on a rampage, taunting survivors of the shooting.

“Adults 1, kids 0,” his first tweet read.

A few minutes later, he followed that one up, tweeting: “Worst news since their parents told them to get summer jobs”.

Seeming to understand the hornet’s nest that he had stirred up, D’Souza attempted to back-pedal a few hours later, tweeting: “Genuine grief I can empathize with. But grief organized for the cameras—politically orchestrated grief—strikes me as phony & inauthentic”.

As one might expect, San Francisco Gate reported: “Predictably, D’Souza was met with swift condemnation from those objecting to the mockery of survivors of a mass shooting. He was met with a flurry of tweets referring to him as a “trash human being,” a “human dung beetle” and “jailbird little creep.”

Kurt Eichenwald, contributing editor at Vanity Fair and former thorn in Trump’s side at Newsweek, had the following to say:

About Dinesh D’Souza:

  1. He’s a stupid person’s idea of a smart person.
  2. He’s a stupid person.
  3. He’s a convicted criminal.
  4. He’s an amoral sociopath.
  5. He craves attention…

…so I didn’t link him to this. Treat him like what he is: Wipe him off the bottom of your shoe.

Mother Jones Editor-in-Chief Clara Jeffery responded to D’Souza’s second tweet about summer jobs, tweeting: “Imagine thinking the upside of trolling liberals surpassed rock-bottom human decency toward kids who’ve seen their friends killed.”

MSNBC Correspondent Joy Reid responded to a tweet by Peter Finocchiaro, the managing editor of Huffington Post’s front page, tweeting: “Dinesh D’Souza didn’t just start being vile. This is who he is. And sadly, he’s not one of a kind.”

His tweet

One Twitter user reached out to D’Souza’s publisher, tweeting: “Dear @simonschuster, your author, Dinesh D’Souza, is using his Twitter account to mock the survivors of the 2/14/18 gun massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High. I’ve attached pictures, and here are the URLs of his tweets.”

Other noteworthy tweets include:

Stop pretending the difference between us and Donald Trump or Sean Hannity or Dinesh D’Souza or Ann Coulter or Tammy Letterman or Jack Kingston is one of differing opinions. We’re good, and they’re bad. We’re right, and they’re wrong. We’re better and they’re worse.

Never look up why Dinesh D’Souza is trending.

Dinesh D’Souza is that kid in high school who drew swastikas on his binder to shock people but called his mom crying when he got a C on an algebra test.

Dinesh D’Souza is a horrible person that’s convinced stupid people that he’s intelligent. His audience is the bottom of the barrel. The kids standing up for change to the ridiculous gun laws are both brave and brilliant.
