Twitter Responds To Ann Coulter After She Suggests Shooting People Attempting To Cross The Border

Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter – the queen of mean – is at it again, this time suggesting that the USA follow Israel’s lead and start shooting people trying to cross the border.

Over the years, Ann Coulter has been called “the queen of mean,” “the queen of the damned,” and other not-so-friendly names.

Newsweek reported that: “Following reports that Israeli forces killed 57 Palestinians and injured thousands more during Monday protests along the Gaza border, right-wing commentator Ann Coulter seemingly endorsed the efforts and suggested the U.S. take a similarly violent approach toward migrants attempting to cross into the U.S.”

At issue was a tweet posted by Coulter responding to a tweet by The New York Times reporting on the turmoil along the Gaza border.

“Breaking News: Israel responded with rifle fire to a mass attempt by Palestinians to cross a border fence, killing at least 28, Palestinian officials said,” The New York Times Times tweeted, along with a link to an article titled: “Israel Kills Dozens at Gaza Border as U.S. Embassy Opens in Jerusalem.”

Coulter responded: “Can we do that?” a clear call for Israel-style border killings in America.

This isn’t the first time Coulter has suggested shooting immigrants this year. As The Wrap reported in April 2018:

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter proposed a novel solution for illegal immigration, suggesting that U.S. border guards might solve the problem and send a message to others by shooting a migrant trying to cross into the United States.

“I mean, unless they’re going to shoot one and send a message to the rest,” Coulter told radio host Lars Larson earlier this week. “If you shoot one to encourage the others, maybe they’ll learn, but otherwise, we’ll see, we’ll see.”

Coulter analogized her position to the Voltaire line from Candide — “We hang one to encourage the others.”

Mediaite reminded readers that: “Coulter is such a fierce proponent for the border wall that she has even threatened to jump off the Trump Train if the president failed to deliver on his promise to build it,” adding that: “At this point, suggesting the mass shooting of people trying to cross the U.S. border is pretty much par for the course for her attention-grabbing rhetoric.”

As one might expect, Twitter was quick to respond.
