Sacha Baron Cohen Is Trolling Trump And His Cult Of Red Hats With A New Show

Professional prankster Sacha Baron Cohen of Borat and Da Ali G Show is back to troll Trump and his cult of Red Hats in a new Showtime comedy that is sure to get laughs from some and rage from others. Who Is America will premiere on Sunday, July 15.

On July 4, Baron Cohen – who hasn’t been active on Twitter for some time – posted an edited version 2012 video from Trump’s old vlog, “From The Desk of Donald Trump,” where he tells Baron Cohen to “go to school and learn about being funny.” The newly edited version of the video ends with an assurance from Cohen that he’ll be graduating soon, and the provocateur uses the Trump University logo as an obvious message to troll Trump.

Cohen, who is being cryptic about his new comedy series, posted a subsequent tweet with another video in which he claims he’s been undercover filming a new show – one that featured former Vice President Dick Cheney autographing a “waterboard kit.”

Baron Cohen recently duped former Republican vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin; and she was so angry about it, she wrote about it in a Facebook post on Tuesday saying, “Yup — we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?” Palin began. “I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime.”

Palin continued: “This ‘legit opportunity’ to honor American Vets and contribute to a ‘legit Showtime historical documentary’ was requested of me via a speakers bureau.”

She wrote that she and one of her daughters traveled across the country to meet with Cohen, who, she says, “had heavily disguised himself as a disabled U.S. Veteran, fake wheelchair and all.”

No matter what you think of Baron Cohen, he knows how to get under people’s skin, and he is a master at his own special brand of comedy. He also has balls of steel and isn’t afraid to poke that bear.
