Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis was greeted with life-sized posters depicting her as “Abortion Barbie” while she was at a fundraiser in Los Angeles on Thursday. These posters popped up all around the city in an effort to shame the Democratic candidate.
The Huffington Post reported that the Davis campaign spotted at least five “Abortion Barbie” posters in different spots around L.A. and added, “The posters were funded and commissioned by Kathryn Stuard, a conservative political donor in Texas. She told the San Antonio Express-News that she paid a street artist in Los Angeles named Sabo to create a total of 20 posters.”
“It hits people with the truth,” said Stuard, 53. “The artist is very edgy.”
Fox “News” pundit Erick Erickson was the first to call Davis “Abortion Barbie” after her 11-hour filibuster of an anti-abortion bill last year. The mysogynist blowhard Erickson explained how pleased he is with himself for coming up with the nickname last February because it seems to have stuck
The poster shows Davis as an almost nude Barbie with a plastic baby in her stomach and she is holding on to a black baby. Gee, I wonder what the symbolism of that is!
It just doesn’t get any more smarmy and pathetic than this. These are the tactics of desperate people who are out of touch – and out of their collective minds.
Way to keep it classy Conservatives.
