Scott Walker Pretends He Doesn’t Want To Outlaw All Abortions In New Ad (VIDEO)

Flip-Flop

The midterm elections are just around the corner and Wisconsin’s incumbent Republican Governor, Scott Walker, is feeling the heat. He has recently been slammed in a new ad campaign that highlights his fierce opposition to abortion rights.

Walker and his campaign consultants have countered the attack with a deceptive ad titled “Decision.” The video shows us what appears to be a reasonable man who wants decisions about abortion to be determined by patients and doctors. It is a sneaky attempt to lead his constituents to believe that despite his “pro-life” stance, he respects a woman’s right to choose.

In his ad, Walker defends the bill he signed in 2013 that forces women to have  unnecessary transvaginal ultrasound probes, and would require abortion providers to possess admitting rights at a hospital within 30 miles of the clinic. His bill is currently tied up with legal challenges, but Walker claims this legislation was created to “increase safety and to provide more information for a woman considering her options.” He ends that ad with “The bill leaves the final decision to a woman and her doctor.” This sounds like although Walker is personally against abortion, he supports leaving that decision to the individual.

The ad is meant to hide the truth and the truth is that Walker ban all abortions.

In 2010, Walker told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he would like to outlaw all abortion – no exceptions for rape or incest.

Walker is concealing his staunch anti-choice views on purpose – because he understands that if he is honest, he will lose votes.
