I dare you not to laugh at this hilarious clip about teamwork.
Teamwork means a lot of different things to different people depending on the individual and on context.
According to the Business Dictionary, teamwork is “The process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal.”
Teamwork is often a crucial part of a business, as it is often necessary for colleagues to work well together, trying their best in any circumstance. Teamwork means that people will try to cooperate, using their individual skills and providing constructive feedback, despite any personal conflict between individuals.
AZ Central notes the importance of teamwork in a sports environment as a teaching tool for children:
No sports team is successful without working together to reach a common goal. Teamwork is essential to a good performance from any sports team, professional or not, and is a great way to teach children certain life lessons, such as cooperating well with others and taking responsibility for actions. Such lessons are applicable to life outside of sports and can be applied to work or school, such as focusing without interruption on the school paper that needs to be written or working with a less-than-pleasant colleague on a project.
Noting that “Interdisciplinary teamwork is an important model for delivering health care to patients,” the HRH Global Resource Center notes that:
Teamwork in health is defined as two or more people who interact interdependently with a common purpose, working toward measurable goals that benefit from leadership that maintains stability while encouraging honest discussion and problem solving. Researchers have found that integrating services among many health providers is a key component to better treat undeserved populations and communities with limited access to health care. As the name implies, teamwork in health care employs the practices of collaboration and enhanced communication to expand the traditional roles of health workers and to make decisions as a unit that works toward a common goal.
All that being said, the clip below is a lighter, humorous take on the value of teamwork, and–fair warning: Put your drink/water/coffee down for a second or you might need a new keyboard because you will not be able to stop giggling after watching this one.
