Inserting Blue Links in Facebook Posts

______________________________________

NOTE: In order for this to work, in most instances the page and/or the person posting must like the page or be friends with the person you want to link to.

1. Determine what you want to write to preface the link or photo you are posting and what you want linked.  For instance you might want to write: “Thanks to our friends at SATIRE WITH SAMUEL for the great link.  Be sure to stop by and like their page.”

2. In the above example, you want to include a blue link for “SATIRE WITH SAMUEL.”  So begin typing the intro and stop just before you get to where you want the link. [In this example you would type “Thanks t our friends at” and stop.]

3. Then type the arroba symbol “@” which is the number 2 key with the shift key held down.

4. Then begin typing the page or person you want linked immediately following the arroba symbol [@] with no space, in this case “SATIRE WITH SAMUEL.”

5. As soon as you type the first letter [S] a drop down menu appears with page names and name of your friends.  In most instances, all you will need to type is the first 2 letters of the link for it to appear at the top of the window.

6. Click on the name of the page or person you want linked and you have embedded the blue link in the post.

7. You can then finish typing the rest of your lead-in for the post/photo.
