Chris Matthews exploded on RNC Chairman Reince Priebus on Monday’s Morning Joe, accusing Republicans of “using the race card”, complaining initially about the GOP’s welfare ad and Mitt Romney’s recent birther comments.
Towards the end co-host Mika Brzezinski tried to break in saying to Matthews “Let’s just work on the tone” while host Joe Scarborough said “Chris, let him answer the question”.
“I’m not going to get into a shouting match with Chris so you guys can move on,” Priebus said. Matthews shot back: “Because you’re losing, that’s why” to which Priebus muttered: “Garbage, garbage”.
Chris Matthews ended the exchange firing back: “It’s your garbage.”
