Concealed Carry permit holders live in a dream world (VIDEO)

Concealed Carry permit holders live in a dream worldThe controlled study documented in these videos show that concealed carry permit holders are fooling themselves if they think they will be able to react effectively to armed aggressors.  Most CCW holders won’t even be able to un-holster their gun.  They will more likely be killed themselves or kill innocent bystanders than stop the aggressor.

For more details, see “Unintended Consequences: Pro-Handgun Experts Prove That Handguns Are a Dangerous Choice for Self-Defense.” http://www.vpc.org/studies/unincont.htm.

CCW permit holders don’t protect innocent people.  They kill them.

For those who say: Firearms is our right/We need them to protect my family.

1- Sounds good but that’s old-schooled (went out with the westerns). Today, smart people have a ‘plan’ in place. Trained and rehearse the family and have sufficient counter devices in place in the home and auto-dial B&E notification. (Delay Entry, Alert and Escape)
2- As a former law enforcement personal (who wore a gun to work), in the streets and alleys of Detroit; most civilians no little about handling a weapon, even if they do casual time at a ‘firing range’ and certainly not during a spontaneous threatening event. The weapon then becomes a liability as it will be used by the perpetrator or will escalate the situation.
3- Statistics show at most gun owners have fatal or near fatal accidents or domestic violent acts involving a gun in the home unrelated to robbery, abduction, etc. and in fact, they become the crime. I don’t know how many times I’ve personally witness domestic disputes reach a dangerous situation when a gun was in the home.
4- Most law enforcement would agree that guns in the hands of the general public as a bad idea. If you don’t happen to understand that, just look around, people are dying at a rate way more then saved by the gun in the home period
5- No one needs access to high-grade assault weapons unless you’re going to wage a war and plan for the deaths of many individuals.
6- This is reality, not some TV CSI entertainment topic, I’ve also worked on a few forensic crime scene photo and have stories that no human should experience (for certain, those who’ve served at war, are all too understanding) and guns are at the heart of it, on men, on women and dreadfully are children.
7- I have a challenge, time to walk the talk. This is big so suck-it-up: All in favor of unlimited access to major firearms, would you sign a document that you will allow your family first threat in violent acts in ‘use of deadly force’ as your right to bear such firearms? Because I ask; why must innocent children and people give up their life for others that simply wish to own these firearms?

My comment was written prior to seeing the news video and in response to the Sandy Hook tragedy.

    1. DM says:

But also on the subject of Guns in America and the Sandy Hook tragedy:

Below was my post regarding an ABC News interview with Forensic Psychiatrist Dr. Michael Welner discussing the (Sandy Hook ) shooter and possible cause of shooting. I agree it’s not ‘all’ just about gun’s.

In DR. Welner’s ‘brief’ interview on GMA, there needs to be an exposé segment just on the issues he had presented. For me; as an individual whose professional involvement not only covered broadcast media but some work in forensic crime scene photos, I would agree that our approach (exploit) of news has been desensitizing and stripping the veil of innocence that people should demonstrate and how such affects our young and our world. (as he said; “the right words”)
