A Houston area teacher was fired yesterday after being arrested earlier this month for her alleged affair with a student last year.
As the student in question was not a minor at the time, Kathanna Culp, 28, is charged with improper relationship with a student, according to court records.
According to her, she wanted to end the affair but the student threatened to expose the relationship unless she paid him money. Instead of paying, Culp confessed to her principal that she was being blackmailed, according to Spring Branch ISD Police Chief Chuck Brawner as reported by KHOU11 in Houston.
