The Westboro Baptist Church (“WBC”) announced that they will be picketing the funerals of the victims of yesterday’s bombings in Boston.

Designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, WBC is characterized on their SPLC page as “arguably the most obnoxious and rabid hate group in America.”

WBC first made the announcement on their Twitter page posting:

And they later posted the following press release on their website:

WBC TO PICKET THE FUNERALS OF THOSE KILLED BY THE BOMBING IN BOSTON, MA

The federal government is classifying the bombs as a terrorist attack, but say it’s unclear if it’s of a domestic or foreign nature. Here’s a hint –  GOD SENT THE BOMBS! How many more terrifying ways will you have the LORD injure and kill your fellow countrymen because you insist on nation-dooming filthy fag marriage?! Christ Jesus said that same-sex marriage would prevail just before the time that He returns in power and glory, taking vengeance on the disobedient (Luke 17; 2 Thes.1). Massachusetts invited this special wrath from God Almighty when it was the FIRST STATE to pass same-sex marriage on May 17, 2004. As a direct and immediate result of that first step down the slippery slope to nationwide fag marriage, God sent the devastating bombs to the Boston Marathon. Your callous, defiant sin now leaves 3 dead & more dying, with 100’s wounded and millions terrified in its wake. HEAR YE THE ROD AND WHO HATH APPOINTED IT, USA! (Mic. 6:9.) God made a promise to you: “if ye shall despise my statutes… I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror(!)” (Lev. 26:15-16.) Westboro  Baptist  Church  campaigns  for  USA  to  change  her name to the United States of Terror, or Magormissabib: “terror on every side.” What sorrow! What lamentation! What woe!
