Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is fighting back against Republicans with a new campaign ad slamming Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s comments that the Benghazi Committee was formed solely to destroy Clinton in the polls.
The video begins with a voice-over and on-screen graphic statings: “The Republicans finally admit it.
The ad then uses a voice-over of Andrea Mitchell covering McCarthy’s comments about the Benghazi investigation:
ANDREA MITCHELL: Republican Kevin McCarthy, saying the committee investigating Benghazi and Clinton’s emails was created to destroy Clinton’s candidacy.
McCARTHY: Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a special Benghazi Committee. What are her numbers today?
Next, an on-screen graphic appears reading: “4.5 Million tax-payer dollars,” followed by another voice-over:
Republicans have spent millions attacking Hillary, because she’s fighting for everything they oppose, from affordable healthcare to equal pay. She’ll never stop fighting for you, and the Republicans know it.
The ad ends with the expected: “I’m Hillary Clinton, and I approve this message.”
