Trump appears on The People’s Court, Spicer introduces Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions, Kellyanne Conway has a Fatal Attraction for Jake Tapper, as SNL mercilessly takes on the Trump administration.
As NBC News reports, Alec Baldwin returned for a record-setting 17th time as host of SNL, but did a straight monologue this time instead of his usual cold-open mocking Trump.
However, roughly halfway through the show; Baldwin returned as Trump making an appearance as plaintiff on “The People’s Court” with the 3-judge panel from the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals appearing as defendants for ruling against his unlawful immigration ban.
You can watch him below calling Russian President Vladimir Putin as a character witness:
One of the best lines, as observed by a Facebook user in the comments, was delivered from the judge to Trump: “I want one day without a CNN headline that scares the shit out of me.”
Melissa McCarthy returned to perform the show’s cold-openĀ with an encore performance of her role as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
“I would just like to announce I am calm now,” she announced, later adding: “I’ve been told to cut back on the gum chewing, so I am limiting myself to one slice a day.”
You can watch her, below, introducing new Attorney General Jeff Sessions, played by Kate McKinnon.
Cast member Leslie Jones made an appearance in a digital short – complete with yellow wig – making a pitch to replace Baldwin when he retires from playing Trump.
And McKinnon made an appearance as Sen. Elizabeth Warren for the show’s update:
And last, but not least, Kellyanne Conway is not going to be ignored by Jake Tapper anymore. You can go here to see the full “Fatal Attraction” sketch.
