The Foo Fighters gave an amazing performance last week at the Democratic National Convention.
Playing before an audience with many who follow politics more than music, the group opted to play a two song stripped back set starting with Dave Grohl introducing the first song, “My Hero” saying: “It’s an honor to be here and I think this song makes perfect sense here tonight”.
Done acoustic, the song showcased a bit more of Rami Jaffee;s keyboards than usual as well as putting more emphasis on Taylor Hawkins’ drumming skills.
After completing “My Hero” Grohl led the group, strumming his way solo through the first verse of “Walk” before the rest of the band kicked in to complete the song.
