While Pres. Obama was giving his acceptance speech in North Carolina, Madonna was showing her support by in New York by ripping off her shirt and revealing an Obama tattoo painted on her lower back.
“Tonight, I’m not going to show my ass,” she said, according to the AOL Music Blog. “I’m going to show my feelings. How’s that for living dangerously?” Madonna then ripped off her shirt to reveal an “OBAMA” tattoo painted across her lower back.
Earlier in the show, Madonna talked of her experiences on tour:
“I’m not gonna lie, it’s hot as fuck up here. I’ve been on tour for the last four months traveling around the world and I’ve seen some amazing, beautiful things and I’ve seen some scary things. I’ve seen people being locked up and put in jail for speaking their minds, for being gay, for not practicing the right religion, for not dressing the proper way.
“Yeah, it’s scary, but what it made me realize is how lucky I am to be living here in America. It doesn’t mean that this is the perfect country. We have a long way to go.”
“Thank god for Michelle Obama.”
