Lawrence O’Donnell shares some thoughts going into the 2nd debate and proposed a shift to the rules, namely the 3 points in the photo:
1) Candidates should be allowed to bring notes;
2) They should have at least one staff member (or their entire ‘kitchen cabinet’) sitting next to them during the debate;
3) They should have the questions in advance.
O’Donnell makes a good case that Americans should have the opportunity to receive the best thought out answers possible to any questions proposed during the debate and that no president makes decisions on his own, or without the benefit of notes and other information.
