The Time Trump’s Kids Held A Family Intervention – VIDEO

Donald Trump

Out of control during the 2012 presidential election campaign, Donald Trump’s 3 children reportedly held a family intervention to get him to calm down.

True to form, Donald Trump got a little – well okay, a lot – out of hand during the 2012 presidential election campaign.

The New York Daily News reported at the time that “Donald Trump’s hatred of Barack Obama allegedly led his three eldest kids to do an Obama-vention before the election. Eric, Donald Jr. and Ivanka discussed telling their dad to calm down, then decided collectively to approach Trump (below) and ask him to turn it down a notch with the presidential bashing.”

An inside source who supposedly knew about the mid-October 2012 family intervention told The Daily News that:

The three of them met and went to see their dad in his Fifth Ave. office. They showed a lot of respect, but told him he’s worked too long and too hard to build up the reputation he has. They understand completely he’s always been outspoken and that he likes attention, but this is too much.

Trump’s representatives denied the allegations as did two of his children, as reported by The Hollywood Wire:

“I totally respect @realDonaldTrump’s opinions & right to articulate his views, which is what I would have told @nydailynews if they’d call me to fact check their false story,” daughter Ivanka tweeted.

Eric hasn’t publicly commented on the article, but Don Jr. also took to Twitter and bashed the reporting as false: “This article is nonsense, never happened, but what’s news anymore if u can’t make it up?”

However, the story was taken seriously enough that mainstream media outlets, such as MSNBC picked up the story. Dana Milbank of the Washington Post weighed in on the intervention in the clip below from PoliticsNation.
