UPDATE: ‘Guardian Angel’ Revealed: Crash Survivor Meets Mystery Priest
A priest mysteriously appeared at the scene of a crash when Katie Lent’s vital signs were failing in what are describing as an appearance by a guardian angel.
“I think that this time I’ve actually witnessed a guardian angel at work,” Jeremiah See of the New London Fire Department told ABC News.
On August 4th a drunk driver hit 19 year-old Katie Lentz head on while traveling on Route 19 near Center, Missouri. Pinned in the front seat of her car with vital signs failing fast and rescue equipment failing, Lentz asked rescue workers to pray with her.
It was then that a man who appeared like a Catholic priest suddenly appeared out of nowhere in spite of a 2-mile perimeter that had been set up to block the accident scene.
According to New London Fire Chief Raymond Reed,
“He began to pray and use the anointing oil. There was a calmness that, to me, seemed to come over the entire scene.”
Reed went on to add:
“The words were to remain calm, that our tools would now work. Instantaneously, at that moment, our neighboring department arrived with fresh extrication tools.”
Lentz survived and is recovering in the hospital with broken legs and ribs, but some say it could’ve been worse, if not for the mystery man on the highway.
According to Lentz’s friend Travis Wiseman:
“Whether it was just a priest as an angel, or an actual angel coming down. He was an angel to everyone and to Katie.”
