A Sea eagle in western Australia snatched a video camera, that was set up by Aboriginal rangers in the Australian outback to capture footage of crocodiles feeding, and ended up recording a video of its 70-mile journey.
According to ABC News, Australia, aboriginal rangers had set up the camera “at a gorge on the Margaret River in May” to capture images of crocodiles feeding.
Roneil Skeen, an aboriginal ranger, told ABC that the camera came up missing shortly after it was placed:
“Unexpectedly our camera went missing so we thought we had lost it because it fell into the water.”
Skeen went on to state that:
“It was pretty amazing because it’s one of the first camera traps to ever get picked up.
“They’ve had camera traps moved [by animals] before, but not taken off, like a flying camera you know?
“It was pretty cool so we were pretty shocked.”
The rangers are reporting that in the future they will be bolting all their cameras down.
